Well, I have been a bit confused with life as of late (a bit personal). My internet also went out for a good three days which in turn made me lose a bit of motivation. BUT ANYWAY ON TO HAPPIER THINGS
Queen, and why I love them. Queen is a classic, I'm willing to bet that everybody has heard them at least once, even the youngsters. I remember visiting my grandparents and if they'd take us somewhere, I didn't know it but I would hear a Queen song playing on their station (you wouldn't believe the nostalgia that hit me when I got Queen's greatest hits.)
(Let's face it, they had one of the greatest, best looking singers ever. Rest in peace Freddie)
Queen has had many classics such as We Will Rock You, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody, there's just too many to name! Their drummer, Roger Taylor, has also been cited as an influence for many (including myself :D). It's hard to actually say what genre they are besides Rock since they've done many, check out Bohemian Rhapsody or Innuende, then Bicycle Race to see what I'm talking about.
Anyhow that's basically Queen, one of (in my opinion) the best bands ever.

Dead Kennedys
Not sure many people know about this band, but I'm gonna share it cause personally I think they were amazing.
They formed in the late 1970's as a hardcore punk band and are actually still around today, however without Jello Biafra (the lead vocals till they seperated) it isn't the same in my opinion.
Anyway I personally think this band is a gem, with their fast paced songs, and harsh lyrics (sometimes covering political problems or just problems with the world in general).
Anyway, I don't have much else to say about this amazing band except that if you're into punk, you're gonna like them (if you haven't heard them already).

Rush
Amazing band right there. Not only do they have one of the best drummers around (amazing kit too) they gave an amazing guitarist and personally my favorite vocals. Their songs are almost like stories.
Rush have been around for quite a while, and since they only have 3 people, they all use synthesizers they control. Neil Peart along with being the drummer is the main lyricist of Rush. I think it's either you love his lyrics or you hate them. I personally think they're really cool. They write songs of the progressive genre.
Anyway I can't think of much else to write about them, bottom line is check them out immediately. Amazing stuff.

Musical Lifestyles
Yeah I know, most of what I blog about is music, but that's where the title came from obviously. Music was never such a big part of my life till I got my computer, and my dad started telling me some of his favorite bands (we both share our favorite band of all time btw, Aerosmith) and I got to checking them out. I don't think I can name a single band he told me about I didn't like, which is actually really cool.
A few months passed and I realized, most of what I do involves music, rare is it a time when I don't have any music playing. I also play the drums and I'm slowly getting better, hopefully I'll be able to start a band one day.
Does music revolve around your life as much as it does mine? I'd like to hear what you have to say!

What're you listening to?
As I sit here jamming to Jimi Hendrix, I'm curious as to what the people that follow this blog's musical interests are. I find I listen to mostly stuff from the 60s-90s. I find myself disliking most pop as well, however there are a few gems hidden in the genre.
I'll end this blog with what I'm currently listening to:

Thought I'd post a classic song
Here's a tune I can drum to! Very fun song to play too.
Your opinion on the old Glam music scene?

What kind of kit do you play? Heads?
I play an acoustic kit, but wondering if there's any people with electronic drums reading this. I'm sort of split between Remo and Evans right now, but I'm leaning towards Remo.
